Outdoor Summer Theatre Camps July 8 – August 2 2013
Summer Camps meet Monday – Friday 12:00 – 5:00 (5:30 option) Tuition for each camp is $150
Random Acts & Sneaky Set-Ups (July 8-12)
This is a camp filled with the fun of flashmobs, city bus sing-a-longs, fortune cookies, spontaneous musicals, Long’ Nez’ing, making Bellinghamsters into “celebrities,” and European clowning techniques. Over a dozen kids had a blast last summer being making mischief and encouraging adults to let their inner summer camper out for some fun.
The Wutcraker Boot Camp (July 15-19)
In preparation for The Wutcraker this coming December, campers get a jump on auditions for this community-wide intergenerational parody (winner of the Mayor’s Arts Award). Campers will learn how to swordfight like the Rat King, rap like the Ice Gang, and dance like a Booger Flung Scary!
“Sprinkle Park—The Musical” (July 22-26)
Campers meet at Fairhaven Park all week with swimsuits and picnics. We’ll play a ton of theatre games and create an original musical or lip-sync a performance to share on Friday with families in the park. Wet, wacky, and fun!
The Wozard of Iz (July 29 – August 2)
Sure, you’ve heard of Toto, but have you heard of Dorothy’s dog “Thumb Thumb?” And what about Auntie “Um” and “Professor Lost His Marbles…” And Elvis! What is Elvis doing in Oz? A hilarious rendition on that old classic, kids’ imaginations have warped this adventure right into a new dimension. Parts for Middle Schoolers and younger.
